We started TaxCompare in 2020 with a simple idea: make it easier for UK taxpayers to compare services honestly, understand their options, and get expert advice without the jargon.
TaxCompare was founded in 2020 by a team of qualified tax consultants who were frustrated by how confusing and opaque the UK tax services market was. Taxpayers were either paying too much by guessing, or spending money on services they didn't need.
We built this site to do two things: provide genuinely useful, independent comparisons of tax services, and offer direct access to qualified advice through our own team of Qualified Tax Specialists.
Since 2020 we've helped over 4,800 clients across the UK — individuals, sole traders, landlords, freelancers, and limited companies — and collectively saved them more than £18.7 million in tax.
